The Hooks are happy to help nonprofit groups and their fundraising efforts through donations whenever possible. Because approximately 100 requests are received each month, we ask that you follow our guidelines and provide us with advanced notice.
Guidelines and Procedures:
1. All requests must be made in writing on letterhead of the organization requesting a donation.
2. Requests should include:
Basic information about the charity/event
Contact name, address and phone number
Date of your event
Copy of your organization’s 501 (c)(3) letter
3. Requests must be received three (3) weeks prior to your event. We cannot guarantee to meet requests with less than three weeks notification.
4. Please do not send duplicate requests or send multiple copies of your request to various departments.
Other Pertinent Information:
1. Most donation requests are filled with Hooks’ game tickets.
2. Donation preference is given to nonprofit, charitable 501 (c)(3) organizations.
3. Donation requests are usually filled within 14 days of the event date. Requests received with long lead times may not be filled right away but kept in our files for fulfillment approximately 14 days from the event date.
4. Due to the vast number of donation appeals received, we have to limit our donations to organizations in Texas and our target area is a 150mile radius from the city of Corpus.
5. Our goal is to assist as many groups as possible with donations. Because we receive hundreds of requests every year we can only donate to an individual event once in a given year.
6. We are unable to make monetary donations or purchase program ads.
7. Placing follow up calls about donation requests is very difficult due to the volume of solicitations we receive. If you have provided us with the proper advance notice, your event is within one week, and you have not received a response please call us at (361) 561-4697.
Hooks’ front office personnel are unable to intervene on behalf off and seeking autographs for charitable purposes by accepting items via mail or in person for delivery to players.
