Rusty Hook and Sammy Seagull, the official team mascots of the Corpus Christi Hooks, call Whataburger Field home. During a Hooks game you can catch them out and about playing with kids, throwing t-shirts, or just chilling out. These guys love being a part of the crowd each night at Hooks games and encourage you to come by and say "Hello." Both mascots enjoy having their photos taken and signing autographs.

Rusty's Kids Club: Our younger fans, ages 12 & under, can show their support for the Hooks by joining Rusty's Kids Club. Members receive a blanket, baseball cap, membership card, discounts at Hook, Line & Sinker, up to 35 general admission tickets and Kids Club parties, complete with a free Kids Zone wrist band, every Sunday home game. Sammy's Birthday Club: Sammy Seagull invites all kids, ages 12 & under, to sign up for his birthday club. Members receive a birthday card from Sammy and two reserved tickets to use during the season. Members also receive a coupon to participate in the birthday parade and a t-shirt.  The cost for Sammy's Birthday Club is $5. Get Hooked on Reading is a program for first through eighth graders which encourages kids to continue reading during their summer break. Participants are required to read a set number of books. Registration takes place at any Corpus Christi, Gregory-Portland or Sinton public library. Simply ask about Get Hooked on Reading at the library's information desk. Those who complete the program will receive four tickets to a Hooks game, in addition to taking part in a recognition parade before a game.
