Turning in the most strikeouts by a Corpus Christi hurler this season, Hicks retired the first 15 in order, whiffing nine over the first five frames.

The Hooks reeled off seven unanswered runs Sunday afternoon, winning, 8-5, over Wichita before 4,197 fans at Whataburger Field. Tyler Guilfoil earned his second two-inning save of the week, retiring all six Wind Surge batters in the eighth and ninth. Guilfoil finished his Double-A campaign with a 3.88 ERA and four saves in 46 appearances, which tied for the club lead. Guilfoil did not allow an earned run over his last five outings, while posting a 1.40 ERA in 10 games since mid-August.

Alonzo Tredwell, Alejandro Torres, and Tyler Guilfoil teamed to permit only five hits Thursday, heading a 2-0 Hooks triumph over Wichita before a Patriot Day and First Responders Night crowd of 4,911 at Whataburger Field. Posting a 3.18 ERA in seven Double-A assignments, Tredwell ranks second in the Astros system with 122 strikeouts, an average of 11.0 per nine innings.
