Head groundskeeper applications being accepted
CORPUS CHRISTI – Whataburger Field’s playing surface was recently voted the best in the Texas League – and we’d like to keep it that way.
Award-winning field superintendent Garrett Reddehase has moved on to tend the surface at The Dell Diamond in Round Rock, and the Hooks are looking for their next “All-Star” groundskeeper.
If you have a background in sports turf management and want to advance your career with one of the top organizations in professional sports, please consider this choice opportunity with the Hooks. Applications for field superintendent are now being accepted by Ryan Sanders Baseball, owners and operators of the Double-A Corpus Christi Hooks and Triple-A Round Rock Express.
Experience in the day-to-day operation of a professional baseball playing surface is preferred, but all applicants with sports turf management experience will be considered.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and two years of sports turf management experience in Major League Baseball, Minor League Baseball, intercollegiate athletics or golf. Candidates should possess personnel management experience and the necessary skills to communicate effectively with all staff members. Night, weekend and holiday hours are necessary. Salary is commensurate with experience.
To apply, send a cover letter, resume and five references by October 16 to: Michael Wood, General Manager, Corpus Christi Hooks, 734 East Port Avenue, Corpus Christi, Texas 78401. Ryan-Sanders Baseball is an equal opportunity employer.
