Celebrate All-American Homestand with the Hooks
CORPUS CHRISTI – Yes, it’s been hot as a firecracker in the Coastal Bend… but you can catch those cool coastal breezes each night at Whataburger Field as the Hooks settle in for six games against Tulsa and Northwest Arkansas of the Texas League North.
Thursday, July 2, Drillers @ Hooks, 7:05 p.m. (gates open 5:30)
- Thirsty Thursday (discounted soda and beer), from Stripes.
- Family 4-Packs at the box office are $44 for reserved seats and $28 for GA (berm seating). 4-Packs are comprised of four tickets, four hot dogs and four small sodas. Call 361-561-HOOK for details.
- In July, Corpus Christi Police and Fire Department members are competing in the Coastal Bend Blood Center’s Guns ‘n Hoses Challenge. You can step up as well by giving blood between 5-8 and picking up two free GA tickets, plus a Hooks road cap. The Coastal Bend Blood Center’s Blood Drop Mascot will be on hand to entertain the kids.
- Rising Texas Country star Max Stalling leads the seventh inning stretch.

- Enjoy Friday Fireworks postgame, compliments of Bud Light.
- Hooks Idol contestants audition in the Bradley Studio from 5:30-6:30. The studio is adjacent to the main ballpark gates. All participants receive two GA tickets to the game. Hooks Idol is presented by Oldies 93.9. Oldies 93.9 personality Jesse DeLeon begins a remote broadcast at 4 o’clock.
- Many believe the 1980s were characterized by an unprecedented level of individual self-absorption. Whether you agree or not, celebrate ‘80s Night at Whataburger Field with the Hooks! Director of Ballpark Entertainment Steve Richards has the music ready and we’ll be looking for the best fashion and hair all night long.
- Sign up at Guest Services to compete in the CPL Retail Energy Flip the Switch Challenge. If your postgame dance is judged best by the crowd, you’ll win free tickets to the sold-out Spazmatics show afterwards at Brewster Street Ice House.
