School:  North Central Texas JC.  Acquired:  Selected in the 29th round of the 2004 draft.  Career Highlights:  A member of the Astros 40-man roster and pegged by Baseball America as the No. 15 prospect in the Houston system.  Selected to the South Division squad for the Texas League All-Star Game but did not play.  Missed most of the second half with back problems.  Named Corpus Christi’s Pitcher of the Month in May (2-1, 3.07 ERA in 5 starts).  In 2007, tied for second among Astros farmhands in wins (10) and was second in the organization in ERA (3.03), splitting his time between Salem and Corpus Christi.  Posted an 8-1 record and 1.82 ERA in 12 appearances through the first half, earning a Carolina League All-Star selection.  Went 1-2 with a 2.78 ERA in four road starts for the Hooks, including seven innings of shutout work at Midland August 24, his first victory at the AA level.  Ranked within Lexington’s top five in wins, starts and innings pitched in 2006 and was one of three Legends to throw a complete game.  Catcher J.R. Towles was a teammate both in college and for a little over three weeks in 2007 with the Hooks.
