School:  University of Tampa.  Acquired:  Selected in the second round of the 2006 draft.  Career Highlights:  Invited to Major League spring training this year, was 1-1 with a 3.52 ERA for Scottsdale in the Arizona Fall League.  Enters the 2009 campaign as the No. 13 prospect in the Astros organization according to Baseball America.  Missed the first month of the 2008 season with a groin injury, then, suffered a broken finger in his fourth start while attempting a bunt.  Returned in late August for three brief appearances.  Was 2-1 with a 0.59 ERA after his first three starts.  In 2007, tied for the team lead in starts for Salem and was second on the club in ERA.  Posted back-to-back victories with a pair of six-inning shutouts April 17th and 23rd, holding the opposition to a total of seven hits.  Lasted six frames or more in 11 of his 25 outings.  Allowed 19 earned runs in 60.2 innings (2.82 ERA) on the road.
