Acquired:  Selected in the eighth round of the 2005 draft.  Career Highlights:  Hit .308 with 13 doubles, three triples, three homers and 22 RBI’s over the first two months of 2008.  Hit safely in 19 of his first 26 games and was named to the Carolina League All-Star team.  For the Legends in 2007, hit a club-best 15 home runs.  His first career long ball came with Greeneville in 2005, a grand slam on July 25.  During his senior season at Memorial High School in Houston, boasted a .519 batting average, fifth best in the state, and was second best in the Houston area in both home runs and RBI’s, earning All-State honors.
