Stan Boroski
Pitching Coach
Stan Boroski enters his third season with the Hooks and 13th season as a pitching coach in the Astros farm system.
A native of Ohio, Boroski spent four seasons as the pitching coach for the Salem Avalanche of the Carolina League. In 2001 and 2002, he served in the same capacity for Michigan in the Midwest League. Boroski has worked as both a scout and a coach in the Houston organization since 1991.
Drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers as a catcher out of Buckeye South High School in Tiltonsville, Ohio in 1981, Boroski spent three seasons in the Brewers system. In 1985, Boroski was signed as a pitcher by the Kansas City Royals, and he remained in that organization as a player for four years. Throughout his playing career, Boroski attended classes at Ohio University, and in 1989 received his bachelor’s degree in Biology.
He and his wife Carol make their home in St. Cloud, Florida with daughter Sarah and son Clayton.
