Jamey Snodgrass
Athletic Trainer
Jamey Snodgrass, the 2005 Trainer of the Year in the Texas League, is in his seventh season as the athletic trainer for the Astros Double-A affiliate and his fifth season with the Hooks.
Over the course of his nine years in professional baseball, all in the Astros system, Snodgrass has been named the Trainer of the Year in his league three times. In 2001 and 2002, Jamey was honored as the Midwest League’s Trainer of the Year while working for the Michigan Battle Cats.
Prior to his arrival in Corpus Christi, Snodgrass served as Round Rock’s trainer in 2003 and 2004. His previous assignments have been as a trainer with Michigan (2001-2002) and Auburn (1999-2000) in the New York-Penn League.
A product of Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio, Snodgrass previously worked for the Concorde Therapy Group, performing athletic training duties for high school student-athletes. He also worked with student trainers as an affiliated instructor for Mount Union’s athletic training program. In his final year at Mount Union, he was honored as the Senior Athletic Trainer of the Year.
Born in Geneva, Illinois, Snodgrass was raised and still resides in Cleveland, Ohio. During the 2006 season, Snodgrass was honored by his alma mater with induction into the Lutheran High School East Hall of Fame.
