Eddie Maloney is president of Cowboy Maloney's Electric City Appliance Centers, with appliance and audio/video stores located throughout Mississippi. Eddie has worked in the family business since graduating from the University of Mississippi.
Maloney’s involvement on an ownership level with the Astros Double-A affiliate dates back to when the franchise was located in Jackson, Mississippi. He has remained as an owner with Ryan-Sanders Baseball throughout the moves of the franchise from Jackson to Round Rock and Corpus Christi. His ties to baseball include his nephew, Memphis Redbirds manager Chris Maloney, who managed the Springfield Cardinals in the Texas League in 2005 and 2006.
Maloney has been a notable contributor to Jackson’s civic community. He served as past chairman of the Metro Jackson Chamber of Commerce and is a former chairman of the University of Mississippi Business School Advisory Board. Maloney is also a former president of the Jackson Prep School and Foundation and the Country Club of Jackson.
Eddie lives in Jackson with his wife Rhoda. They have three daughters; Lindsey O’Connell, Leigh Anne Williams and Kelly Maloney. Lindsey and husband Capt. Kevin O’Connell have a daughter, Dolly, and Leigh Anne and husband Jon have a son, J.J.
